Day 1, Saturday: LuxorEmbarkation in Luxor for a relaxing week sailing the Nile on a luxuriously appointed dahabiyya. After lunch, excursion to visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing 28 th Dynasty Luxor Temple. Overnight moored on the Nile banks of Luxor.

Day 2, Sunday: LuxorYou will visit the West Bank for visits to the burial places of the Pharaohs - the Valley of the Kings - where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the temple of Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon.

Today will be a leisurely day. After breakfast, commence sailing

Day 4, Tuesday: EdfuThis morning you will sail to Edfu to visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu. Overnight moored beside a Nile island.

Day 5, Wednesday: Amirat Dahabeya Cruise
Today you will sail on the way to Kom Ombo. Overnight on board moored beside a Nile island.

Day 6, Thursday: Kom Ombo
After breakfast on board you will visit Kom Ombo to see the Ptolemaic temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to God Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus. A leisurely sailing to Aswan and moored near by Aswan bridge. Overnight in Aswan on board.

Day 7, Friday: Aswan
Today you will visit the Aswan High Dam (completed in 1971), the Old Dam (completed in 1902). You will also visit Temple of Philae, dedicated to the Goddess Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam's construction.


Day 8, Saturday: DisembarkationBreakfast aboard the dahabeya followed by disembarkation.

Day 1:) 28th, December, 2011 Arrival Cairo, Egypt :Arrival at Cairo international airport, meet and assist by our travel REP, then escort to the hotel, check in. In the evening an optional dinner cruise with belly dance show, then back to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 2:) 29th, December, 2011 Cairo - Fly to Aswan – Nile cruise Holiday :Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, transfer to Cairo airport to fly to Aswan, upon arrival Aswan, our travel REP will be waiting for you to escort you in a guided tour to the sights in Aswan to visit the high dam, the unfinished obelisk and the Philae Temple, then transfer to the cruise to check in and lunch aboard the cruise. In the afternoon enjoy a felucca ride around the rocky island of the Nile. Transfer to the cruise, dinner and entertainment on board. Sail to Kom ombo and overnight stay aboard the cruise.
Day 3:) 30th, December, 2010 Kom Ombo – Edfu Sightseeing tours - Nile cruise Holiday
Breakfast, arrival to Kom Ombo and visit the temple of Kom Ombo. The temple is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris. Continue sailing to Edfu, lunch on board. After lunch a sightseeing tour to visit Edfu temple, the major Ptolemaic temple and the best preserved in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus and was built over a 180-year period from 237 BC to 57 BC. Continue sailing to Esna to cross the lock. Dinner followed by a galabiya party, sail to Luxor and overnight aboard.

Day 4:) 31st, December, 2011 Luxor sightseeing tours - Nile cruise Holiday :After breakfast, you will be taken in a guided tour t to visit the west bank, El Dier El Bahari (Queen Hatschepsut temple, valley of the kings, colossi of Memnon, back to the cruise, lunch, then sightseeing of the east bank to visit the famous Karnak and Luxor Temples. In the evening an optional tour to attend the sound light show at Karnak temple, NEW YEAR GALA DINNER AND CELEBRATION and overnight on board.

Day 2: Cairo Tour (B) After breakfast, we will begin our full day sightseeing tour of Cairo. First we will visit Giza Plateau, located in the west bank of Nile, facing Cairo. Cheops, Chepren and Mycerinus are the three pyramids we will see in this plateau and their guardian Sphinx, the lion body human head mythical statue. Later we will visit the world famous Egyptian Museum. The museum that houses the largest Egyptian collection with more than 250.000 antiques extending over the past 5000 years. Return to our hotel.

Day 3: Cairo – Luxor (B, L, D) Early morning we will be transferred to Cairo airport for our flight to Luxor. Upon arrival we will be guided to embark to our Nile Cruise ship and have lunch on board. After lunch we will begin our tour in the enchanted Luxor, considered the greatest open air museum in the world. We will cross the river to the eastern bank of Nile to see the temple of Karnak and Luxor. After tour we will return to the ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Aswan – (optional Abu Simbel) – Cairo (B)After breakfast we will disembark and will be transferred to Aswan Airport. Clients who booked optional Abu Simbel tour will take the flight to Abu Simbel to see the magnificent temples of Ramses II and Nefertiti; after you return Aswan you may have free time in Aswan until your flight to Cairo. If you don’t take the optional tour you’ll fly to Cairo in the morning, you’ll be transferred to your hotel and will have free time in the afternoon. Overnight: Cairo
Day 8: Cairo (B) - AmmanTransfer to airport for flight to Jordan. Arrive at Queen Alia Airport in Amman, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Amman for overnight. Overnight: Amman
Day 9: Amman (B) After breakfast, you will meet your guide and begin your tour in Amman. We’ll visit the Archaeological museum, Roman Amphitheater, Folklore Museum and the Citadel. After Amman tour your driver will take you to Jerash, to the best preserved and largest Greco-Roman city in Jordan. After your visit here you’ll return your hotel in Amman.

Day 10: Petra (B)Breakfast at your hotel, and departure to Petra, the Red Rose City- desert rock carved monumental tombs, palaces, temples and the treasury which was starred in Indiana Jones. Your guide will give you a briefing about whole City of Petra while you are walking through the 1.2 km canyon to reach the magnificent treasury. Part of the way back is on horseback; drive back to hotel for overnight.
